Multi-Domain Command - Europe had the honor of promoting Maj. John A. Hackmann to the rank of lieutenant colonel, August 28, 2026, at the museum inside the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Headquarters on Clay Kaserne, Wiesbaden, Germany. Opening remarks were given by Brig. Gen. Steven P. Carpenter who later readministered the Oath of Commissioning. Lt. Col. Hackmann was pinned his new rank by his wife and two children.
